“Money Mathematics” teacher seminar

Money management is a life skill and often requires the applications of mathematics. The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC), in collaboration with Education Bureau will organise a teacher seminar to help teachers teach money management themes in junior secondary mathematics.

The "Money Mathematics" teaching resource will be introduced in the workshop. The teaching resource includes money management topics for the junior secondary Mathematics curriculum. It comprises six topics that are embedded in the curriculum of secondary one to three. The package provides question bank, presentation slides and teacher’s manual which facilitate the teaching and reduces workload in lesson preparation. All participants will have access to this teaching resource after the seminar.

In addition, we have also invited Mr. Yuen Kai Lun from Shun Tak Fraternal Association Yung Yau College, and Mr. Tang Si Kei, Mr Lun Ho Yan and Mr. Ng Ka Wai from Hong Kong Chinese Women's Club College to share their teaching experience in this area.
